Selected by Los Angeles in the second round (30th overall) of the 1996 NHL Entry Draft, Green has played for the Kings (1998-99), New York Islanders (1999-00), Edmonton (2001-03), New York Rangers (2002-03), Washington (2002-04), Calgary (2003-04), Vancouver (2005-07) and Anaheim (2009). In 322 career NHL games, Green has scored 35-39=74 points (35-39) with 193 PIM. He has also appeared in 17 Stanley Cup Playoff games with Edmonton, Vancouver and Anaheim, tallying one assist with 12 PIM.

A native of Camrose, Alberta, Green has appeared in 266 career American Hockey League (AHL) contests, recording 181 points (83-98) with 267 PIM. The 6-foot-3, 225-pound left wing spent the 2008-09 regular season with Anaheim’s then-AHL affiliate in Iowa, collecting 24 points (10-14) with 52 PIM in 39 games.
