Reign signs two more from WHL

ONTARIO -– The Ontario Reign, the ECHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, signed two rookies -- defenseman Eric Doyle and center Aaron Lewadniuk -- to standard player contracts.  The 2010 – 2011 season will mark the first professional seasons for both players.

Doyle, 21, spent five seasons of his junior career with three clubs in the WHL, accumulating 177 points (37 goals, 140 assists) and 172 penalty minutes in 303 games in the league.  Doyle, a Calgary, Alberta native, started in the WHL in 2005 with the Everett Silvertips, before spending four seasons with the Swift Current Broncos.  The defenseman ended the 2009–10 season with the Portland Winterhawks.

Lewadniuk, 20, started his hockey career with the Winkler Flyers (MJHL) in 2006, recording 87 points (43-44) and 104 penalty minutes in 61 games.  The center, who hails from Carman, Manitoba, also played with the Omaha Lancers (USHL) before spending the past two seasons (2008–10) with the Brandon Wheat Kings (WHL).  Lewadniuk recorded 133 points (52-81) and 107 penalty minutes in 128 games with the Wheat Kings.
